Offline Mode should only be used when experiencing outages with your internet or with your credit card processor.

An authorized user of your establishment must force credit cards offline via the settings before credit card data will be stored.

Note that Sensitive Authentication data is never stored on our systems. 


Note that for EZ Retail, Offline Mode is only supported for Mercury and Heartland inscope processing. Offline Mode is not supported for other processors or EMV pin pad devices.


Turning Offline Mode on our off 

  1. Have an authorized user of your establishment access the EZ Retail application. Enter a user name and password and click the Login button
  2. Click the Admin button, then click the Settings button
  3. Select Payment Processor Settings
  4. Check Force All Transactions Offline, and then click the Update button. To turn off Offline Mode uncheck this setting, and then click the update button.




When internet services are restored, be sure to import the offline transactions quickly. For help on Importing Offline Transactions.
