Offline Mode should only be used when experiencing outages with your internet or with your credit card processor.

An authorized user of your establishment must force credit cards offline via the settings before credit card data will be stored.

Note that Sensitive Authentication data is never stored on our systems.

Turning Offline Mode on or off

  1. Have an authorized user of your establishment access the EZ Dine application. Enter a password and click the Admin button.
  2. Click the Misc. Credit Card Ops button.
  3. Click the Force Offline button. A disclaimer will display noting that credit cards may be declined. Click the OK button on the message. Note that the button name now displays "Go Back Online" Click the button again when you are ready to process Online.

  • Note when turning on Offline Mode for EMV devices, Store and Forward (SAF) must be enabled. The Operations windows will show a dialog box that the system is contacting all the EMV devices and initializing offline mode on all devices in the network.

  • If there is an issue contacting the device, or if SAF is not setup on your account, an error message will display listing the station number where offline mode could not be turned on.
