Symptom: Location is requesting to add new item to the EZ Dine Menu.
Step 1: Access the Menu
- Navigate: Admin > Menu
Step 2: Using the General Tab
- General Tab allows for new items to be entered. (Figure 4)
- Select the Main and Sub-categories for the item to be added.
- Select New
- Enter the name and pricing accordingly.
- Tax is default as Food & Bev Tax. Please choose another tax that is appropriate for the item.
- Click Save
- Price includes Tax Box
- This will print the price on the customer receipt to include the price with tax included. This will also print with an asterisk(*) to show that tax was included.
- Ask price when ordered or Ask number of serving boxes.
- This will create a pop up of a number pad indicating the employee to enter price or number when applicable.
- The Legend displays any menu items that are a combo with #.
- Hidden items will display with ~.
- Referenced Items with *.
Step 3: Using the Misc. Tab
- The Misc tab will allow you to enter a description for a menu item(Figure 5)
- Simply write the description of the item description box.
- Use Example: Bartenders can look up the description of a drink to have the full instructions for creation.
- Simply write the description of the item description box.
- Managers can also set up a color for the menu items on this screen.
- Click save when complete.
