Request: How to add a gift card button into the pos.


Step 1: Add a button

  • Navigate Admin > Menu Categories
    • If there is not already a GIFT CARDS option, Use new
    • Set the Reporting Category
    • Press Save
    • Press Done.


  • Navigate Admin > Menu Sub-Categories
    • If there is not already a GIFT CARDS option, Use new
    • Check or uncheck the appropriate discount settings.
    • Press Save
    • Press Done



  • Navigate Admin > Menu Items
    • If there is not already a GIFT CARDS option, Use new
    • Set the Item tax
    • Check Ask Price when ordered
    • Press Save
    • Press Done



    • Press Ref/Combo
    • Set Gift Card Option for the item
    • Press Save
    • Press Done


Step 2: Extra Gift Card settings

  • Navigate Admin > Support Settings
    • Promo Giftcard
      • Used when there is a giveaway for a free gift card.
    • Gift Card tips
      • Used when Locations wish to allow tips to be put on gift Cards.
