There are time a pax unit retains the correct ip address, but is not connected fully to the network.

Step 1: Power cycle the Pax device.

  1. Have the caller follow the power cable until it gets the inline connector.
  2. Have the caller unplug the power cable > wait 10 seconds > reseat cable
  3. Once the device has booted up fully
    1. If there are errors: troubleshoot accordingly
    2. If no error: Test
  4. If test failed, proceed to step 2

Step 2: Locate IP Address

  1. Access the Menu on the Pax device
    1. Have the caller Press and Hold the Function/F button on the lower left side of the Pax



    2. While holding the Function/F, Press the 1 button.
    3. When prompted for a password:
      1. 916860
      2. If failed, try the default Pax password of the date in: MMDDYYYY format.
        1. Example: May 2, 2022 would be 05022022.  
  2. On the Main Menu, have the caller choose the option for communication
    1. If the option is not there, have the caller press on the UP or DOWN Arrows.

  3. On the Comm. Options, choose the LAN Parameters option
    1. If the option is not there, have the caller press on the UP or DOWN Arrows.

  4. On the LAN Parameters screen, choose the IP Address option
    1. If the option is not there, have the caller press on the UP or DOWN Arrows.
  5. Have Caller provide the ip address listed.
    1. This will be noted in xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx format
    2. Example: 192.168.1.1 would show as 192.168.001.001
  6. Have the caller press cancel red button on the pax multiple times to return to the normal main screen.
  7. Record this number and proceed to step 3 to update exdine.

Step 3: Update the IP Address within the EZ Dine.

  1. Navigate > Admin > Support Settings > Credit Card Setup
  2. Update the Ip address > Click Save

Step 1: Power cycle the Pax device.

  2. Have the caller unplug the power cable > wait 10 seconds > reseat cable
  3. Once the device fully opens, Ensure the TSYS app is open and running
  4. If test failed, proceed to step 2

Step 2: Locate IP Address

  1. Double tab the top left corner of the touch screen are to pull up ip.
    1. If cannot be location, contact Tier 2 as we can check on back in for these 2 models.

Step 3: Update the IP Address within the EZ Dine.

  1. Navigate > Admin > Support Settings > Credit Card Setup
  2. Update the Ip address > Click Save
