The WTI Router when set up will utilize a 10.10.10.X ip scheme. If this is a different ip scheme, the likelihood of a reset is high.

Reach out to Alby and Peter for reprogramming

  • Confirm the ip scheme is the default 10.10.4.x.
  • Reach out to Peter and Alby for re-configuration
  • Do NOT make changes to the network as an update will cause further downtime and work after reconfiguration.

Post configuration checks:

Systems offline

System setup is critical for getting systems back up an running.

Setting up Static IPs and updating ip list

  • Have locations restart their systems. This will cause the NIC cards to reset allowing the systems to reconnect with their current ip addresses that were statically assigned.
  • Log in and ensure systems are once again on static for main terminals. Tablets, cc terminals, APs, devices needing reservations will need to get ip reservations set again along with IP List update.
    • NOTE: KDS systems MUST have the same static ip as before as these are configured to use an exact ip address.
  • DHCP devices can be left on DHCP if IP List dictates this.
  • Determine in EpsonNetConfig if the printer is detected.  If the ip is different, Configure a new ip on the printer.
    • If the device is not detected after this and there ARE link lights and all troubleshooting have been performed, then as a last resort the nic card can be reset.
      • A nic card reset WILL have a possibility to have problems depending on the age.
        • Modern NIC: Will reset to DHCP and pull a new ip
        • Legacy NIC: Will statically reassign itself with  192.168.192.168
          • In this event you will have to add a secondary ip network to set up the printer, if you are unsure of the process. Reach out to Alby or Peter.
      • If a NIC is needed then the caller will have to do the following:
        1. Turn off the printer
        2. With a fine tipped device that can access the small hole, press and hold the reset button.
        3. They will have to hold the reset button while turning back on.
        4. Once they get a printout, they can let go.
        5. Wait 2-3 minutes for EpsonNetConfig to redetect
          1. If a legacy nic, then have them feed test after 3 minutes to confirm if ip is 192.168.192.168

    • PAX
    • AP
    • Tablets
  • Log into the WTI router to perform static dhcp reservations
    • If you are not sure how to perform this, reach out to Alby or Peter for further instruction.
